Our work with internationals has focused primarily on Japanese in the Upstate. That ministry is coordinated by Aki and Yoko Shigemi. Yoko and her husband Aki have worked for many years with her husband aki to lead a ministry among the Japanese in South Carolina.
Yoko explains, “Through leading two Bible classes among the Japanese community and working as an on-call chaplain at the local hospital, I was motivated to learn.” “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” (2 Corinthians 3:5).
When I feel less than fully competent, I remind myself, “By the grace of God and with the help of God, I can.” What should we be for Jesus Christ? Thank you for supporting us!
