Each year CBFSC shines the spotlight on a certain CBF Field Personnel. The goal is for our churches to learn more about the ministries taking place around the world and for us to learn from their ministries so we can enhance our own missions here in South Carolina. This year we are focusing on the ministry of Jonathan and Tina Bailey.
There will be two main ways that you can meet the Baileys and learn about their work.
Regional Dinners in SC
We will host 4 regional dinners in South Carolina. These will be opportunities for you to meet the Baileys, hear about their ministry, and learn how you can put their expertise to work in your own community.

PilgriMission Exchange Bali – Late March 2018
In the last week or two of March, 2018, Jonathan and Tina will be hosting a musical performance of a newly composed piece. We will take a small group from CBFSC to visit their work, assist them in this project, and learn the hows and whys of their ministry. Exact dates and costs TBD.
Jonathan and Tina Bailey encourage Christian artists to stay connected to their cultures, using the music, dance and visual arts of their native community to express Christian faith. They hope that these expressions will help remove the walls between communities and local churches.
“To follow Christ doesn’t mean that you leave your culture behind and accept Western culture, but that you could live out your faith in your local community wearing your traditional clothes, playing your traditional instruments, and that is valid,” said Jonathan.
Jonathan and Tina provide support and encourage other artists as well. They facilitate visual art exhibitions, teach music and dance classes, work with local musicians to create compositions for worship and provide training to seminary students. They are also the creators of the Narwastu Art Group, made up of musicians and dancers who work collaboratively to create art.
The Baileys encourage churches and individuals to partner with Christian artists and communities around the world. They hope Fellowship Baptists with skills in music, dance, painting, drama and other art forms will share their gifts.
