Associate Pastor/Director for Older Adults

Milledge Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, is seeking a part-time Associate Pastor/Director for Older Adults. This person will provide leadership to and communication for MABC’s older adult community ministry, respond to pastoral care needs, and make time to know MABC older adults. He/she will also serve as support staff for all scheduled events that minister to MABC older adults. Qualifications include love and compassion for older adults, and previous experience in church ministry with older adults is a plus. Seminary training is preferred but not required. The expected commitment is 15-20 hours per week. Director of Church & Community Ministries
 
First Baptist Church Weaverville, NC, seeks someone to develop and coordinate ministry activities. Candidates should feel called to support and minister to all age groups, with children and youth a priority. A key job responsibility will be enlisting, instructing, and directing volunteers. The position will plan regular mission projects to put faith into practice, fun activities to strengthen fellowship, and community partnerships to nurture relationship with local schools and organizations. Applicants should work well with teams of volunteers and staff, and be ready to help a loving congregation be active, both in the church and its community.
Weaverville is about 15 minutes north of Asheville, and is a lovely small town in the vibrant Western North Carolina mountains. First Baptist has an average weekly attendance of 110 and partners with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Full-time salary range is $37,000–45,000. A bachelor’s degree is required; preference will be given to candidates with seminary training, knowledge in social work, or nonprofit experience.
