St. Andrews Baptist Church-Columbia, SC

Part Time Bookkeeper

St. Andrews Baptist Church is currently seeking a detail-oriented, part time bookkeeper, approximately 20-30 hrs weekly, to support the financial operations of the church.

Key Responsibilities:
Keep and maintain accurate financial records of church accounts
Maintain records of giving
Reconcile/oversee Accounts Payable
Keep detailed reports of the various funds associated with financial stewardship
Prepare financial reports as needed on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis in a timely manner
Understand and demonstrate extreme discretion regarding any and all financial matters for the church, including staff, church members, visitors and all vendors

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of bookkeeping or accounting background/experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
The ability to work independently (self starter), as well as in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Support the Administrative Manager and assist Church staff as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness and ability to grow and learn in the position, obtaining and maintaining any needed training or certifications

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Shelby is a plus
Previous nonprofit experience is helpful, but not required

Baptist Women in Ministry

Director of Development

The Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM) Director of Development role is a remote position that will report to and work closely with our Executive Director, and will begin on July 28, 2025. The Director of Development will bring a passion for BWIM’s work paired with a high-level of expertise and strategic thinking to generate revenue that will support the achievement of the organization’s long-term goals.

The Director of Development will be responsible for managing and implementing all fundraising, stewardship, and communications activities. The position is both strategic and tactical, as it is responsible for developing, managing, and executing BWIM’s annual development plan.

The ideal candidate has a clear grasp of all core components of development including individual contributions and stewardship, annual and online giving campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, grant writing, and special events. This role requires experience managing development operations, ranging from oversight of CRM, to budget-building, to data tracking, to gift-processing.

MINISTRY ASSISTANT for PASTORAL CARE AND ENGAGED AGING

First Baptist Church Greenville, SC, a progressive and inclusive faith community, is seeking a dedicated Ministry Assistant to provide crucial support and administrative leadership under the supervision of the Minister of Pastoral Care and the Minister of Engaged Aging. The position is a four to five day a week responsibility for a total of 25 hours weekly. First Baptist Church - New Bern, NC

2025 Summer Intern

First Baptist Church of New Bern currently has 2 search committees in place for our Music and Youth & Family Life Ministries.  The Intern would primarily focus on Youth and Family Life Ministry but, if equipped, could also support the Music Ministry as well as other areas of interest in church programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • To serve, lead, teach, mentor, and motivate the youth of FBC New Bern in their walk with God;
  • To nurture and disciple the young people of the congregation through programs, activities and one-on-one relationships so that they mature in the faith, discover and use their gifts and talents, are helped to see the “all of life” relevance of the faith, develop their sense of belonging to the congregation and develop a love for the church;
  • Be available to youth and parents for support, including but not limited to reaching out to youth to check-in and develop relationships and open communication;

Pastoral Resident

Second Baptist Church seeks to hire a full-time Pastoral Resident to serve and learn with our congregation for 2-3 years, beginning in late August 2025.
The Pastoral Resident will benefit from a nurturing community at Second Baptist, spending focused time during their residency learning to be a Senior Pastor in ministry as they gain experience in preaching, teaching, pastoral care, administration, and congregational organization. The WDS is a state-licensed (GS110), half-day preschool, open Sept–May, with optional extended hours and flexible days, and a 5-week summer session (ages 0-12yrs). The enrollment capacity is 80 children, infants through TK. The Weekday School is a church-affiliated early childhood program dedicated to nurturing the whole child through a thoughtful balance of learning, play, and personal growth.
