Christen’s journey to help women in Senegal be self-sufficient
Christen Kinard spent some of her earliest years in Senegal where her parents, Nell and Butch Greene, were missionaries. She’s back in that country now looking for ways to help women become self-sufficient through her organization called The Off Ramp, a long-term covenant partner of CBFSC.

First Baptist Church in Greenville is sponsoring a free webinar on Thursday, Jan. 19 about humanity, slavery and faith. mberly Kellison, Professor of History at Baylor University, will present the research surrounding her new book, Forging a Christian Order: South Carolina Baptists, Race and Slavery, 1696-1860.
CBFSC Scholar Bouknight earns doctorate, thanks CBFSC
Steven Bouknight, pastor at Eau Claire Baptist Church in Columbia, just earned a doctorate degree at Gardner-Webb, thanks in part to a scholarship he received from CBFSC.

The Beverly Greer Offering for State Missions helps CBFSC partner with ministries across our state. The goal for 2023 is $70,000. The Offering now supports SIX covenant mission partners, and also provides for grants offered to ministries and churches through the year.
