First Baptist Church in Pendleton collected 26 units of whole blood at community Blood Drive it hosted on May 17.

“Our goal was 18, so we were thrilled with the turn out,” said senior minister Jennifer Rygg,

The Blood Connection (the community blood center in Upstate South Carolina) will donate $20 per donor to the church as part of its financial incentive program.

Jennifer said the church will donate those funds to Clemson Community Care, one of the church’s local mission partners that provides food, rent/utility assistance, and other resources for people in need in the community.

First Baptist Church in Pendleton held a blood drive that also meant extra dollars for the church to give to help the community.
