Stacy Brown was 19 and still in college when she joined the Metanoia team in 2005. Now she’s taking all she’s learned about mentorship, diversity, inclusion, and community to her new job with Charleston County schools.
Fighting gentrification, Metanoia is in a race against time as local housing prices and eviction rates are increasing. Our long-term CBFSC missions partner thinks God’s vision in Isaiah of building houses for others to live in might not be possible as Charleston’s economy strengthens.
Metanoia’s home repair program helped Mr. Hollins, a retired Charleston firefighter who lives in the community, fix a leaky roof and thereby remain in his house.
