Coaching Grants
Supporting our clergy members through coaching and spirtual direction grants.
Grants for Coaching and Spiritual Direction
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina supports clergy in various ways. Clergy wellness and appreciation are important to all who offer pastoral care, as well as the congregations they serve. Offering coaching and spiritual direction grants so that pastors can work with licensed and professional coaches is one of the newest ways we provide that support.
Grants will be made payable directly to a certified coach or spiritual director. Coaches must be approved by CBF South Carolina. CBFSC will pay 80% of all coaching costs up to $400 per minister. What happens within coaching sessions remains confidential.
An applicant must be a participating member of CBF South Carolina. That membership is determined by one of two means: (a) the applicant is a member of a contributing CBF South Carolina church, or (b) the applicant has personally contributed financially to CBF South Carolina at any time during the twelve months prior to submission of the grant application.
OR
Applicants must serve on staff at a CBF-affiliated church or be a CBF-endorsed chaplain serving in South Carolina.
